Frequently asked questions
What the tool does, what it does not do, and how it fits into practice.
Still stuck?
If your question is about relational frame theory itself rather than the product, the introduction, the frame reference, and the glossary cover most of it.
Common questions
- What is RFT App?
- An authoring tool for Relational Frame Theory programming. It drafts lesson structure across nine frame types, which the practitioner then edits, configures, and assigns.
- Does it write clinical programs for me?
- No. It produces draft lesson structure. You edit and approve everything, and you own every clinical decision.
- Can I edit generated lessons?
- Yes. Stimuli, prompts, answer options, trial order, difficulty progression, and error-correction behaviour are all editable.
- Which relational frames are supported?
- Coordination, distinction, opposition, comparison, hierarchical, temporal, spatial, deictic, and causal.
- Can one skill serve several learners?
- Yes. Skills carry default configuration and each learner assignment can override those defaults.
- What data does it record?
- Trial-by-trial responding, recorded in an ABA-familiar shape and charted per learner.
- Is it suitable for parents?
- Parents use it as structured support alongside their provider. It does not provide clinical advice and is not a substitute for a BCBA or treatment team.
- Is there a mobile app?
- Yes, RFT App runs on the web and on iOS and Android.
- Does it replace a BCBA?
- No, and it is not designed to. It removes construction work from lesson authoring. Clinical judgment stays with the practitioner.
